Explorers Raid
30 DEC - 23 MAR (departure on Sundays)
5 SNOWMOBILE DAYS + 1 BUGGY DAY
850 KM - BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE
This most popular beginner/intermediate circuit will take you to a multitude of pretty 'outfitters'. Hidden deep in the woods of the Hautes Laurentides and Haute Mauricie regions, these typically Canadian accommodations, run by and for the people of the forest, will charm you for sure. Along the route, on a network of fabulous well-maintained marked trails, you will come across a series of panoramas and viewpoints that will be forever etched in your memory. Mountains and valleys, lakes and forests, streams and rivers will certainly be part of the images you will fill your cameras with. If luck smiles on us, even the photos of certain wild beasts may slip into it.
Beginner / intermediate level, this raid is perfect for a first excursion. Its pace adaptable to your abilities, its short stages on beautiful, wide and safe trails make it an excursion that lends itself very well to participants of all sexes, ages and levels of physical ability.
This raid, by the way, always takes place from Sunday to the following Sunday in order to avoid circulating during the busiest days which are the weekends.
Looking forward to welcoming you with us this winter for a memorable excursion!

A short step will take you to a relay where you will be treated to a delicious hot meal.
Once well filled and familiar with your mount, you will leave to discover the paths which border the famous Petit Train du Nord. During the day, you will visit the villages of Nominingue, Chute-Saint-Philippe and Ferme-Neuve and then take a break and have a bite to eat at the Montagne du Diable relay. You will then see the Baskatong Reservoir from the CIP towers, the highest vantage point in the area.
Let's try to get back early, the jacuzzis are waiting for us at the Rabaska Outfitter.

You will see up close some of the impressive power line installations that cross the province to supply electricity to the major cities further south. During this day, you will observe a visibly different and constantly changing vegetation and experience the feeling of being alone in the world thanks to the large uninhabited spaces. After lunch in the relay, you will have the chance to see the vestiges of logging: clear cuts, selective cuts as well as vast reforested areas. Vigilance will be required as you get closer to civilization and gradually see more and more snowmobilers on the trails.
